After spending time in both the public and private sectors of Emergency Medical Services, most of which was in Public Utility Models, Stephen is now working on his Ph.D in the Health Track of the Policy Sciences Department.  He is interested in urban EMS system design and its impact on quality.

In 2002 Stephen is speaking at EMS Expo and writing a series of articles on Frontline EMS Leadership in EMS Magazine.  He advises management track students in the EHS department and teaches courses on financial management, planning, and operations.
