Description

The Emergency Health Services Department is pleased to announce an open seminar being led by grad student Mahmoud Alwidyan, MSN, MS (cand), and an instructor at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST).

One of the world’s smallest countries in land mass, and one the driest, Jordan has long been hosting over a million Palestinian refugees, and is now challenged to meet the sudden and rapid influx of refugees from the civil war in Syria. This presentation and discussion is open to all who are interested in the dynamics of meeting humanitarian needs in an environment of limited budgets, extreme natural resource limits, and real security concerns, while also working to maintain host country security and quality of life.

Wednesday, 16 April, from 3-5pm in Sherman Hall Rm 305.
