How does this program differ from a Masters of Education program? Why wouldn’t I want an MEd if I’m interested in EMS education?

Most MEd programs are generic in nature and designed to provide the student with a broad knowledge of the education field. They are also usually focused on K-12 instruction. The education track provides a similar overview through the ISD certificate, but enhances that knowledge with coursework specific to EMS education.

Students with a specific baccalaureate degree in EMS may find the MEd a viable option.
