About
Jae has been an EMS educator since 2016 with an interest in expanding the use of technology and student-centered teaching in pre-hospital medicine education. Jae is currently a faculty member of UMBC's Emergency Health Services department and teaches primarily for the paramedic program. Jae teaches a number of clinical courses in addition to the clinical simulation labs. Jae completed his paramedic degree through UMBC and is now in the process of completing a Ph.D. in public policy with a concentration in Emergency Management.
Outside of the classroom, Jae is an active Paramedic in the state of Maryland. In addition, he enjoys utilizing his other interests, such as photography, research, and project management, in both personal and entrepreneurial projects.
