Emergency Health Services (9 credits required)

  • EHS 115: Medical Terminology
  • EHS 202* Emergency Medical Technician I
  • EHS 203* Emergency Medical Technician II

*Current acceptable EMT certification may fulfill these requirements

Mathematics/Science Courses (24-25 credits required)

Choose one of the following:

  • BIOL 101: Concepts of Biology

        -or-

  • BIOL 141: Foundations of Biology: Cells Energy and Organisms (Pre-Professional)

Choose one of the following sequences:

  • CHEM 101: Principles Chemistry I (Pre-Professional)
  • CHEM 102: Principles of Chemistry II (Pre-Professional)
  • CHEM 102L: Introductory Chemistry Lab I (Pre-Professional)

        -or-

  • CHEM 123: Introduction to General Organic and Biochemistry I
  • CHEM 124: Introduction to General Organic and Biochemistry II
  • CHEM 124L: Introduction to General Organic and Biochemistry II Lab

You must complete ALL of the following:

  • BIOL 251 Anatomy and Physiology of the Body I
  • BIOL 251L: Anatomy and Physiology of the Body Lab
  • BIOL 252 Anatomy and Physiology of the Body II
  • BIOL 252L: Anatomy and Physiology of the Body II Lab

Choose one of the following: 

  • STAT 121: Intro to Statistics

        -or-

  • STAT 350: Statistics with Applications to Biological Sciences

Social Sciences/Political Science (10-11 credits required)

Choose one of the following:

  • EHS 200: Concepts of Emergency Health Services (3 CREDITS – Social Science GEP )

You must complete all of the following: 

  • PSYC 100: Introduction to Psychology
  • PSYC 285: Abnormal Psychology

General Education Requirements (12 credits required)

  • 3 Arts and Humanities Courses
  • 1 Culture Course (EHS 340 recommended)
    • EHS 340 will now be required
  • Completion of a foreign language at the 201 level
    • 4 years of high school language will fulfill this requirement

All students must pass the Department computer competency examination or take one of the following classes: EHS 352 or IS 295

++All students must be EMT certified and provide documentation of a minimum of 100 patient contacts by the Fall semester of the Junior year
